All doors can be made to measure to fit your aperture. Our short guide will give you the confidence to measure your opening accurately before ordering your new bifold doors. Follow our simple steps to measure up for a bifold door below.
Measuring the width for a bifold door
Firstly, measure the width of the outside of your opening (see below) you’ll need to measure side-to-side, from brickwork to brickwork, in three places (top, middle & bottom) note the three measurements down & use the smallest as your opening size.
Measuring the height for a bifold door
Then, measure the height of the outside of your opening (see below) again, you’ll need to measure side-to-side, from brickwork to brickwork, in three places (top, middle & bottom) note the three measurements down & use the smallest as your opening size.
Now you’ve measured the height, the width and have made note of the shortest measurements. For the final measurements you need to deduct 5mm either side to get your final size needed for your opening.
Once you have measured your opening
When you have measured your opening, you’re ready to order your new bifold.
